First area solo completed

On Monday 18th August 2008 I successfully completed my first area solo. This included flying with no instructor or passengers from Essendon (YMEN) to the Point Cook (YMPC) training area. Upon reaching the training area, I did some Precautionary Flying which is conducted at 500ft above the ground and then some practice engine failure procedures from 2500ft. After an almost perfect landing back at Essendon, I cursed that my instructor wasn't there to see how good the landing was!

All in all, I had a ton of fun, operated the aircraft safely, and was very happy with my performance while flying solo as Pilot In Command. Next up, Aircraft General Knowledge exam in two weeks!
