Steve, the 1A charger works fine with a small but. If the phone has been used for several applications and then attempt to charge while running navigation software it does not recognise the charger, do a soft restart and all works fine charging phone and running any apps. Only a small problem with a monor work around. Noted the request for WM6.5 and agree with your comments, also have a KJam with 6.5 - yes works but slow, eg the speach from navigation software incomplete as cannot keep up. Regards, Ken

Hi Phil,

Since writing this I have re-written it in Perl. I'll look at putting the code online in the near future.

I have a PCR-100 and I am just getting started in PHP/MySQL (I'm 1/2 through the "Dummies" Book). I am no real whiz on Linux either.

I am very interested in a copy of the PHP scripts so I can see how the web interface marries up to pcrd.

If anyone has one they rolled themselves ( or if you wouldn't mind sharing yours Steve ), my e-mail is good on QRZ.

Thanks for the help

Any true quality managed Gigabit switch should give you a min of 50 MB/s sustained thru-put unless your using a realtek or a crappy nic. I have an old 3Com office connect 8 port switch with a 1 MB buffer that will do 10.5 MB/s Sustained between two workstations with intel pro 100S Desktop nic's and 2 7200 rpm seagate 8MB Cache drives & p3-600 cpu's. I've tried this with 6 pc's connected to it and it only dropped to 10.2 MB/s. Cisco doesn't advertise what the buffer is for the SRW2024 switch but says it's switching cap is 48Gb/s as they well know thru-put is based on hardware, buffer, MTU's, & MPPS not advertised port speed. Newegg says it has a 2 MB buffer. If that is in fact true then this switch is no faster than a Cisco 2950T-24 that has an 8MB packet memory buffer & 10.1 Mpps wire-speed forwarding rate of the back plane. It’s like they're advertising a car that has 50hp specification capable cylinders ... does that mean if I have a v6 I’ll get a 300hp engine ??? Let see 48Gb/s = 6GB/s this would be as fast as the Intel Itanium2 Zx1 bus speed .. which I highly doubt!!

No. I have no plans to build a WM6.5 ROM. The HTC Hermes is just getting too slow and dated for the extra requirements of WM6.5. It would be like trying to run Windows 7 on a 10 year old PC - sure it can be done - but it won't be user friendly or fast.

Steve,

Have been trying to flash rom but your install says spl 1.11 needed - I have 2.10 olipro installed - install fails and gets 230 error.

Do I need spl 1.11 for this to work and if so can you point me in the direction of a copy - links on your related links are dead, and don't lead to 1.11?

thanks Peter

Java 1.6 is not available for OSx 10.4, you either have to upgrade to mac os x 10.5 or find a patch somehow...I am trying to find a patch... Soy Latte might be a possibility
